Guidelines:
The contest is open to all Filipinos nationwide, at least 16 years of age. The contest involves the design of a logo for the Zamboanga ICT Council that is reflective of its aspirations.
Background of Zamboanga ICT Council
The Zamboanga ICT Council is a newly created organization on information and communication technology in this city, duly organized by the Zamboanga Chamber of Commerce and Industry Foundation, Inc. (ZCCIFI), and now affiliated with the National ICT Confederation of the Philippines (NICP). One with the NICP in its advocacy of countrywide ICT industry development, we shall endeavor to:
- Generate new ICT and Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) businesses in Zamboanga City;
- Raise public awareness in Information and Communications Technology, in order to rally industry and civil society in general, to easier adaptation of the benefits of ICT;
- Foster sustainability and steady generation of resources for the industry;
- Establish and increase collaboration and public-private partnerships which enhance and foster development in the ICT industry.
- Entries should be in digitized format (with a file extension of .jpg) or freehand illustration or drawing.
- The raw file of the digital artwork should be drawn/illustrated in short size bond paper. Filename is name and logo title (example: mariacruz_ictlogo.jpeg). Submit digital artwork in color and in grayscale versions.
- For freehand artworks, entries should fit in an 8x11 short bond paper.
- A brief description or rationale (half a page) explaining the components of the logo should also be included in the entry.
- The logo should have a minimum of two (2) and a maximum of four (4) colors.
- Every component must be recognizable even if reduced to small sizes; and
- Entries must be characterized by cutting-edge or modern designs.
3.Deadline for submission of entries is September 17, 2012.
4. The logo-making competition shall be judged according to the following criteria:
- Overall concept and impact of design (30%)
- Relevance to the aspirations of Zamboanga ICT Council (30%)
- Creativity (20%)
- Originality (20%)
6. The winners will be announced on September 26, 2012, during the 1st ZamPen ICT Conference at Astoria Plaza, Zamboanga City. Three winners shall be chosen and shall receive certificates and cash prizes of:
- P 10,000.00 (First Prize)
- P 4,000.00 (Second Prize)
- P 2,000.00 (Third Prize)
8. The winning entries and all other entries submitted for the contest shall be considered as property of ZICT. Likewise the council reserves the right to modify or make improvements on the winning entry (first prize), use the logo and adopt it in all official communications, publications and other printed or digital media.
