The early morning rush to the bus station on my way home allowed some time to tour around Siocon's townsite. I stood there pointing at the Municipal Hall clearly taking in mind this shout out : Salus populi suprema lex est which in Latin means "Let the good of the people be the supreme law".
The Municipality of Siocon is located in the southern part of the province of Zamboanga Del Norte. Zamboanga Del Norte comprises the northern portion of the Zamboanga Peninsula with the Capital city which is Dipolog City. Having twenty five (25) municipalities and two (2) cities, the Municipality of Siocon is in the list.
Among its neighboring municipalities are (1) Leon B. Postigo (Bacungan), (2) Baliguian , (3) Godod ,(4) Gutalac , (5) Jose Dalman (Ponot) , (6) Kalawit , (7) Katipunan , (8) La Libertad , (9) Labason, (10)Liloy , (11)Manukan, (12)Mutia, (13)Piñan, (14)Polanco, (15)Pres. Manuel A. Roxas, (16)Rizal , (17) Salug,(18)Sergio Osmeña Sr., (19)Siayan, (20)Sibuco, (21)Sibutad, (22)Sindangan (23)Sirawai and (24)Tampilisan.
